Application Deployment

Client Side Caching

• Client-side UI is available
• All NT4 and NT5 share default to manual caching. This means you can pin a file or folder, but no auto caching will take place. To change the caching options for a share, you must use the NET Share command line program from within an MS-DOS Command Prompt.
• You can pin a file or folder on any NT4 or NT5 share using the Explorer or common file dialog.

Remote Boot

• Functional setup: Ability to power-on a client NetPC, manually choose install type and OS, and have Windows NTW 5.0 installed.
• Functional and integrated SIS server into remote boot server.
• Support for device replacement: hard drive, disk controller, video card, all HCL supported network cards, and other supported PnP hardware devices.
• Ability to boot an IntelliMirror client in disconnected mode. 
• Communication between client and server secured using post boot security mechanism.
• SIS and IPSec must be manually started.
• For this release, only five network cards are supported.
