This is the only leaked (if not the only) build of Beta 1. Personal (only on BetaArchive FTP™) and Professional versions are available. Setup is revamped. https://www.betaarchive.com/wiki/images/e/e1/2296Setup.jpg

This is officially the only Beta 1 build released to testers, and is the last build of the 22xx number series.

During setup, it thanks you for testing out Beta 1 of Whistler.

Really, this build isn't that different from 2287 or even 2276, mind you.

On the desktop, they display a shortcut to beta release notes stating known bugs and software problems.

The start menu is the same as last time. But there is one thing that I have yet to mention.

You can actually "pin" shortcuts and such to the start menu.

(PNG)

This is nothing new as you could do the same thing with the Windows 95 start menu.

And a third note, there's a bug where once you pin something to the start menu, "unpinning" it does nothing. Not even restarting explorer works.

Reportedly you can fix this with a registry tweak, but I don't see the need to waste all the time doing tweaking just to remove that private picture you accidentally "pinned".

I didn't feel like taking a screenshot of it last build, but the Windows ME pictures are gone. Not even "Sample.jpg" with someone doing push-ups on a tennis court.

Why are they even mentioning Netscape when MS well knows they already abused their monopoly with IE?

We'll still, anything is better than IE.
