With this build we reach the end of the 16xx series. It will only get more interesting from here. There isn't much new stuff to show off here so this is just going to be short.

I noticed during setup that it takes longer to load during processing the installation. I would assume this would be detecting devices in your computer similar to the final build.

Same desktop as before although the "Active Desktop" text is now a different font.

One thing I was pleasently surprised to see new in this build was a DVD Player. Of course you probably need a DVD drive to actually use this.

The control panel now has a new applet for scanners and cameras. Probably works similar to the printers folder.

I just happened to come across this. Disk Manager has a visually appealing tip of the day window.

The pointless IE 4 screensaver is finalized, but IE 4 won't stick around forever as it is quickly replaced by it's superior younger brother in a couple years.

I can't believe I didn't talk about this one last time. It's an early version of Narrator! But instead of Microsoft Sam it features MS Mary and MS Mike instead. Quite interesting to think that they actually might have existed before MS Sam. It also has some lower audio quality versions of the two as well.
