Windows 2000 2000.1, 2020, 2031

Author: Blue Horizon

This is more of a follow-up review to the previous review since these three builds only feature very little changes. They also share the same problem - it locks up on more faster and newer CPUs and causes a CPU shutdown on said CPUs. Because of this, I had to use PCem to emulate a much older CPU. This is also going to be a short review, so I apologize if you were expecting something huge.

I've already established the recompile of this build, but I still have some more stuff to document here...

...The main help page has a new graphic. This is also in build 1999, though I didn't play with it enough to get a glimpse of it.

Since I have sound working this time around in this build, here's the Discover Tour again. It has the same voice dialogue as the final.

Just a slight observation, but the font at the top looks slightly different compared to the final.

(PNG)

The setup dialogs now have different styled progress bars, that being that the bars are actually stright lines per se - not a row of rectangles.

In this step, a little bit of dialogue at the top has changed, and there's now a bar seperating the two buttons.

(PNG)

The progress bar is slighty raised up during networking setup in this dialogue compared to previous builds.

The only thing that's most noteworthy about this build is that it introduces the final versions of the logon/logoff sounds:

In "Discover Windows", it now uses the final logo in the top left-hand corner.
