Longhorn 4029-lab06_n
Author: VoyArchivist (PNG)This is Longhorn Build 4029 (lab06_n). Looks fairly similar to other M5 builds setups. We had to go the upgrade route due to installing clean being broken on this disk (good old Microsoft). (PNG)Setup is currently installing the prerequisite files...still looking the same as other M5 builds setups. (PNG)So far so good...its actually installing the build now. (PNG)It has finished installing and it is now booting (PNG)Now under the final stage of setup which is the long detecting hardware phase...sigh Why did Microsoft have to make it take SOOOOOOOOO long (PNG)Well the login/logoff screen looks similar to other builds. This is still one of the nicest ones I've seen throughout Vista's entire development. (PNG)We are now on the desktop! This is Longhorn Build 4029 (lab06_n). Looks like your typical M6 build. (PNG)So on first glance...you can see the taskbar clock that was present in builds 4015 to 4029 was removed in favor of the sidebar clock. It also features that new M6 aurora wallpaper. This happens to be the very first build to have that new "File a Longhorn Bug" shortcut. (PNG)A lot of the applet icons were updated in this build like "My Computer" and such. (PNG)Windows Messenger was updated to 6.0. |
